Seattle’s homeless? Visible to us all, almost everywhere we go, it is evident to us all that we have a serious social problem. We see or hear of the homeless, we care, but ask ourselves “What can I possibly do about this?”

Mother Teresa said “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.”  Building Dreams is approaching the homeless issue in that way – sheltering one homeless person at a time.

Find out how you, in very simple and concrete ways, can participate in this community effort to build 12 Tiny Homes in 2018.

To donate online: click HERE. On the donation page, enter the amount you want to donate in the “Other” category and type “Tiny Homes” on the “Other” line. Under “Contribution Frequency,” choose frequency on the drop down menu. Then click “Continue.” You will then be prompted to enter your credit/debit/checking information. University Gathering’s Racial Justice Conversation is urging all to connect with this exciting movement. It’s coming to Seattle with a mass meeting the evening of Monday November 6th, 6:00pm with follow-up events planned early in 2018. Information on the Seattle meeting is on Facebook. Meeting location: UW Campus Intellectual House: 4249 Whitman Court, Seattle WA 98195. The Poor People’s Campaign website has background on the larger movement. The event will be live-streamed at University Christian Church, 4731 15th Ave N.E. Doors open at 5:50pm.
